Custom body chains and metal mesh

FROM DRAWING TO FINISHED PIECE, IN A SINGLE ITALIAN WORKSHOP.

We create custom body chains and metal mesh for apparel and fashion accessories, developing each project from the design studio’s drawings, from an idea or from a proposal in our exclusive sample collection.

Chain and mesh working and soldering, laser cutting and engraving, casting, plating and polishing: every stage is handled in-house, ensuring control over quality, fast sampling and meticulous finishing.

Compliance

REACH compliance and compliance with the European regulation on nickel release; material traceability.

Sampling

Lead times defined according to the project and the processes required.

Three levels of customisation

Bespoke chains for every project

Every collection has different needs. That is why we develop custom body chains, chains and metal mesh through three levels of intervention.

From our sample collection

We select one of our models and customise its size, finishes or decorative details.

From one of our bases

We start from an existing model and redesign it to the design studio’s specifications, working on shapes, proportions and processes.

From an original design

We develop the piece from scratch, starting from a sketch, a technical drawing, a 3D file or a photographic reference, through to prototyping and approval before production.

From design to production

How a body chain is made

1

Briefing

Every project begins with a dialogue with the design studio. We start from our seasonal sample collection or from material provided by the client: a technical drawing, a moodboard, a 3D file or a simple photographic reference.

Together we define the intended use, expected volumes and cost targets, so as to identify from the outset the materials, processes and production solutions best suited to the project.

2

Feasibility

Our technical department checks geometries, joining and soldering points, the strength of the mesh under stress and compatibility with the planned processes and finishes.

When a detail needs fine-tuning, we propose alternative solutions that preserve its aesthetics while optimising production feasibility, lead times and costs.

Each project is thus technically defined before moving on to prototyping.

3

Prototype

We produce the prototype to concretely check proportions, weight, movement, the drape of the mesh and how it looks on the body or the garment.

It is at this stage that we make any necessary corrections, perfecting the piece before moving on to the next stages.

4

Finishes and sampling

Plating finishes are tested directly on the piece, because shade and result can vary depending on the surface, the geometry and the process.

Alongside our standard finishes, we produce custom plating to specification, developed in compliance with the client’s technical and aesthetic requirements.

We prepare the variants, check their appearance and durability and, once the finish is approved, the sample becomes the reference for the entire production run.

5

Production

Once the sample is approved, we start production in-house, with quality checks on every batch and verification of compliance with the approved reference.

We manage packaging and deliveries in line with the collection calendar, keeping references and specifications on file to ensure continuity for future reorders.

Applications

Body chains and metal mesh for fashion

Our body chains and metal mesh are developed as jewellery to be worn on the body, structural details for dresses and outerwear, or elements for fashion accessories: chain belts, shoulder straps, jewel straps, fringes and decorative inserts.

For projects that require complete coordinated sets, we develop the different elements of the collection while maintaining aesthetic consistency and uniform finishes.

Arienzo Lab – luxury workshop

Why choose us

An Italian workshop where technical expertise, development and production work together at every stage of the project.

The experience we have gained working alongside the design studios of fashion houses allows us to interpret aesthetic and production requirements with precision, flexibility and attention to detail.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions most frequently asked by design studios and purchasing departments.
For specific requirements, our team is available to assess your project directly.

We do not apply a standard minimum quantity to all projects. Quantities and conditions are assessed according to the item, the processes involved and the production process. We handle both sampling and production runs, defining the most suitable solution for each client’s needs on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. We can start from a technical drawing, a 3D file, a sketch, a photograph, a moodboard or even just an idea. Our in-house design studio supports the client in the creative and technical development of the project, interpreting its mood and turning it into a concrete proposal, all the way to the prototype.

Lead times are defined according to the characteristics of the project and the processes required. Managing many production stages in-house allows us to be particularly fast in producing samples. For more complex work requiring modelling, moulds or casting, lead times are agreed according to the technical steps involved.

Confidentiality is an integral part of how we work. We routinely operate under non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and, when requested, sign the client’s NDA before receiving any project material. Drawings, models, moulds and 3D files developed to order remain confidential and are never used for other clients or included in our sample collections.

Yes. In addition to our standard finishes, we develop custom plating finishes to the client’s specifications, working on shades, technical characteristics and required standards. The approved sample becomes the reference for subsequent production.

Our plating finishes are produced in compliance with the European regulation on nickel release and with REACH requirements. Depending on the project, we can also develop finishes to the client’s technical specifications and requirements.

Yes. We can develop coordinated body chains, mesh and accessories for the same collection, maintaining consistency in design, finish and quality standards across the different components.

Yes. We manage the project in-house from technical development and prototyping through to production and quality control, keeping a direct reference to the approved sample and the specifications agreed with the client.
