Metal jewel clutch bags

FROM DRAWING TO FINISHED PIECE, IN A SINGLE ITALIAN WORKSHOP.

We create jewel clutch bags made entirely of metal, complete with frame, clasp, handle and chain, developing each project from the design studio’s drawings, from an idea or from a proposal in our exclusive sample collection.

Casting, CNC milling, laser cutting and engraving, soldering, stone setting, plating and polishing: every stage is handled in-house, ensuring control over quality, fast sampling and meticulous finishing.

Three levels of customisation

Bespoke clutches for every collection

Every collection has different needs. That is why we develop custom jewel clutch bags through three levels of intervention.

From our sample collection

We select one of our models and customise its size, finishes, clasp or decorative details.

From one of our bases

We start from an existing model and redesign it to the design studio’s specifications, working on shapes, proportions, clasps, handles, chains and processes.

From an original design

We develop the clutch from scratch, starting from a sketch, a technical drawing, a 3D file, a moodboard, a photographic reference or an idea, through to prototyping and approval before production.

From design to production

How a jewel clutch is made

1

Briefing

Every project begins with a dialogue with the design studio. We start from our seasonal sample collection or from material provided by the client: a technical drawing, a moodboard, a 3D file, a photographic reference or even just an idea.

Together we define the intended use, project characteristics, expected volumes and cost targets, so as to identify from the outset the most suitable materials, processes and production solutions.

2

Feasibility

Our technical department checks thicknesses, geometries, overall weight, clasp security, handle and chain anchor points and compatibility with the planned processes and finishes.

When a detail needs fine-tuning, we propose alternative solutions that preserve its aesthetics while optimising production feasibility, lead times and costs.

Each project is thus technically defined before moving on to prototyping.

3

Prototype

We model the components and produce the prototype to concretely check the weight, proportions, capacity, opening and closing, functionality and overall result of the bag.

It is on the prototype that we make any corrections, perfecting the frame, fittings and details before moving on to the next stages.

4

Finishes and sampling

Plating finishes are tested directly on the components, because shade and result can vary depending on the surface, the geometry and the process.

Alongside our standard finishes, we produce custom plating to specification, developed in compliance with the client’s technical and aesthetic requirements.

We prepare the variants, check their appearance and durability and, once the finish is approved, the sample becomes the reference for the entire production run.

5

Production

Once the sample is approved, we start production in-house. We make the various components of the bag, assemble them and verify their compliance with the approved reference, with quality checks on every batch.

We manage packaging and deliveries in line with the collection calendar, keeping moulds, models and references in stock to ensure continuity for future reorders.

Applications

Jewel bags for fashion collections

Our metal jewel clutch bags are developed for fashion collections, capsules and couture projects in which the bag becomes a true piece of jewellery.

Frame, clasp, handle, chain and decorative details are designed as a single whole, with the option of incorporating enamels, set stones, engravings and custom plating finishes.

For projects that require complete coordinated sets, we also develop the other elements of the collection, maintaining aesthetic consistency and uniform finishes.

Why choose us

A clutch made entirely of metal requires different skills and processes to work together. Frame, clasp, handle, chain and decorative details must function as a single object, both aesthetically and technically.

Managing development, prototyping, processing, assembly and quality control in-house allows us to work directly on every component and refine the project until the approved result is achieved.

The experience we have gained working alongside the design studios of fashion houses allows us to interpret aesthetic and production requirements with precision, flexibility and attention to detail.

Alongside this, we offer exclusive sample collections, renewed every season, designed to provide fresh inspiration for the design and development of collections.

Made in Italy, from design to production.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions most frequently asked by design studios and purchasing departments.
For specific requirements, our team is available to assess your project directly.

We do not apply a standard minimum quantity to all projects. Quantities and conditions are assessed according to the item, the processes involved and the production process. We handle both sampling and production runs, defining the most suitable solution for each client’s needs on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. We can start from a technical drawing, a 3D file, a sketch, a photograph, a moodboard or even just an idea. Our in-house design studio supports the client in the creative and technical development of the project, interpreting its mood and turning it into a concrete proposal, all the way to the prototype.

Lead times are defined according to the characteristics of the project and the processes required. Managing many production stages in-house allows us to be particularly fast in producing samples. For more complex work requiring modelling, moulds or casting, lead times are agreed according to the technical steps involved.

Confidentiality is an integral part of how we work. We routinely operate under non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and, when requested, sign the client’s NDA before receiving any project material. Drawings, models, moulds and 3D files developed to order remain confidential and are never used for other clients or included in our sample collections.

Yes. In addition to our standard finishes, we develop custom plating finishes to the client’s specifications, working on shades, technical characteristics and required standards. The approved sample becomes the reference for subsequent production.

Our plating finishes are produced in compliance with the European regulation on nickel release and with REACH requirements. Depending on the project, we can also develop finishes to the client’s technical specifications and requirements.

Yes. We can develop coordinated bags and accessories for the same collection, maintaining consistency in design, finish and quality standards across the different components.

Yes. We manage the project in-house from technical development and prototyping through to production, assembly and quality control, keeping a direct reference to the approved sample and the specifications agreed with the client.
